Growing Crimes and the Legal System

A Woman, While Exercising, Abducted from a Road in Blairsville, GA

Kristi Cornwell Abducted in GA A 38 year-old woman was abducted from a road in Blairsville, GA, when she was out to exercise. Kristi  Cornwell was a prior probation officer and was kidnapped by unknown people in a car at 9:00 pm.  While she was being kidnapped, she was on the phone with her boyfriend. Suddenly, the boyfriend  heard Kristi screaming “No, don’t take me.” He immediately called 911 for rescue. By the time 911  reached, there was no trace of the woman. But the crime scene showed few evidences that proved that  force was applied on her in the process of abduction.

Kristi has a 15 year-old son. Detectives have interviewed Cornwell’s three ex-husbands and have  cleared them all of any involvement in the case, according to MyFOXAtlanta.com. It is not evident what could have been the motive for her abduction. There is a possibility that she had enemies when she worked as a probation officer. “There’s always a possibility that one of the inmates had a grudge,” Cornwell’s brother Richard Cornwell told FOX on Tuesday. “There’s also a possibility that it could have been random. They don’t know.” There are no crime witnesses as there was nobody around when the abduction happened.

NYC criminal defense attorney said “More people are getting involved in Kristi Cornwell’s search. Her cell phone was found 2 miles from the abduction scene. A home owner found it when he was lawn mowing. It doesn’t seem like a sexual  attack or abduction for monetary benefit.” The author of “Online banking and payment” said “The place where Kristi Cornwell lived is considered a safe place. To bring back the peace of mind to the residents and assure them of better security, it’s important to find her.” Fort Lauderdale criminal defense attorney said “FBI is looking into this issue. If anyone has any information that can help to solve the case please contact the Blairsville

90% of the U.S. Paper Money Carries Traces of Cocaine

Traces of Cocaine Yesterday it was all over the news – 90% of the United States money  carries traces of cocaine. The cocaine users cannot benefit from it as the  traces are smaller than a grain of sand. The U.S. currency gets traded so  many times every day. With every trade the risk of germs, dirt or drug  particles transmission increases.

In a CNN interview, Yuegang Zuo, a professor of chemistry and  biochemistry at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth said “When I  was a young kid, my mom told me the dirtiest thing in the world is  money. Mom is always right.”

Scientists have found out that the amount of cocaine found on bills is not a threat to human heath.

Money can be contaminated with cocaine during drug deals or if a drug user inhales with a paper money. It is not essential that each bill is contaminated in the process of drug use. Even when ATM and other currency-counting machines get contaminated, they can pass on drug particles to the entire batch.

Charlotte bankruptcy lawyer said “Research has proved that some of the dollars in the experiment had .006 micrograms, which is several thousand times smaller than a single grain of sand.” The author of “Online banking and payment” said “$1 bills are less prone to cocaine contamination than $5, $10, $20 and larger bills. The reason is quite obvious, $1 is a small amount in drug businesses.” Birth injury law firm in Chicago said “It is a good practice to wash your hands every time you come from public places, shake hands with people or use currency. All pregnant women need to be extra cautious.”

Childhood Obesity – Mother Facing a Criminal Charge

14 year old weighing 555 pounds Jerri Grey, a mother of a 14 year-old boy weighing 555 pounds, is facing felony charges. She neglected  her child’s welfare which was the cause of his morbid obesity. Look at the picture of this teenager. His  name is Alexander and he is suffering not from drug or alcohol abuse, but from a disease called “morbid  Obesity”. Friends, morbid obesity is a disease that can kill a person, if not treated properly. This boy is  14 and until he is an adult, his mother is responsible for his well being. At present he is in foster care.

Jerri Grey said that she had limited income and had to work full time, sometimes in three shifts to  support her family. She is a single mom. She admits that she could not take enough care of her son but  there was not much food or sweets in her house that could cause obesity. She did get fast food at times on hectic work days. School authorities say that Alexander used to eat several lunches in school and sometimes his friends used to supply food to him.

Now the question is should the mother be charged with criminal charges for neglecting her underage child? Should she be behind bars for being a bad mother and be held responsible for his morbid obesity? Grant Varner, the lawyer of Jerri Grey said that the mother cannot be held fully responsible because of her low income, hectic job and lack of control over what he ate in school. She took Alexander to a weight loss program where the institution didn’t have enough means to treat her child that resulted in filing this complaint.

The author of “Online Banking and Payment” said “Child obesity is at a peak in America. By blaming a mother this issue cannot be resolved. It is a social responsibility and fast food joints should also to be held responsible for this mishap. Fast food joints target low income group with hectic lifestyles. This segment is a buyer for cheap food with high calories. Government should take measures to control their massive advertising of unhealthy fattening food.”  NJ medical malpractice lawyers said “Parents need to be careful with the eating behavior of their kids. According to law, parents are responsible for actions taken by their underage kids.” Chicago trucking accident lawyer said “I know of kids stealing food from their kitchen. It’s hard to define good parenting and holding parents responsible for a child’s action. Children learn even from the society they are a part of. There are other complex issues like, teenage pregnancy, drug abuse and juvenile crimes. Every time parents cannot be accused of being a failure.”

FBI Unmasks Corruption Activities in New Jersey

Peter Cammarano 111- Hoboken Mayor Arrested This incident is another example of corruption among those holding statutory powers and betraying  people’s trust.

Some rabbis, three mayors and some law makers were arrested on money laundering, bribery and organ  trafficking charges. The sting was conducted by FBI agents.Roughly 44 people were arrested for  criminal charges in NJ including, Hoboken Mayor Peter J. Cammarano III and Secaucus Mayor Dennis  Elwell, both Democrats, and Assemblyman Daniel M. Van Pelt, a Republican from Forked River, in  Ocean County.

Newark Mayor Cory Booker, who has fought corruption in New Jersey’s largest city, told The Star-Ledger it’s “an unbelievable morning so far.” This sting is elaborately described in http://www.nj.com/. Look at it’s clippings below.

[[The CW met Cammarano, who was then running for mayor, in April at the Malibu Diner, along with Michael Schaffer, a North Hudson Utilities Authority commissioner and former Hoboken Councilman.

The CW told Cammarano he would give Schaffer $10,000 if the mayor could "expedite" his development plans.

From the complaint:

Defendant Cammarano explained that "[i]t can go on the agenda just as soon as there’s a sponsor for it . . . That happens like that.”

The CW inquired, “So, if you sponsor it, boom?”

Defendant Cammarano replied, “Yeah.”

When the CW stated “make sure you get my stuff expedited,” defendant Cammarano assured the CW that “I promise you . . . you’re gonna be, you’re gonna be treated like a

friend.”

According to the criminal complaint, Schaffer acted as a middle man for the money.]]

NYC criminal defense lawyer said “FBI has uncovered numerous corruption incidents in NJ. The charges are yet to be proven in the court.” Fort Lauderdale divorce lawyer said “It is revealed that few rabbis were charged with conspiring to arrange the sale of an Israeli citizen’s kidney for $160,000 for a transplant for the FBI informant’s fictitious uncle.” The author of “Online Banking and Payment” said “In the overall money laundering investigation, approximately $ 650,000 was given to political leaders in form of favors. Vulnerable people sold their kidneys for 10,000 dollars and in turn human organ traffickers sold them for $ 160,000.” Acute Phosphate Nephropathy lawyer said “Similar large scale corruption investigations have taken place twice in NJ exposing many criminal activities by religious and political leaders throughout NJ. This is the third such investigation.”

Serial Killer - South Carolina

A reward of $20,000 has been announced for the Cherokee County serial killer in South Carolina. The residents of rural Gaffney, South Carolina are in a state of fear because of the 5 murders in the past 9 days. Residents could not celebrate the Independence Day because of the terror created by the serial killer. Tanya Phillips, a local resident had been looking forward to a backyard barbecue on 4th of July at her brother’s house but instead planned to stay home with her doors locked. “I am not taking any chances,” said Phillips, 32, a mother of two who works in a day-care center. I’ll go out during the day, but not at night. I just don’t feel safe.”

The motive behind these killings is not very clear.  Police has found some links in these homicides but the information has not yet been revealed. The killer is described as a white male, about 6 feet 2 inches tall, with salt-and-pepper hair. Witnesses have said that the killer seems to weigh about 250 pounds.

Cherokee County residents can attend a free workshop to help cope with the fears, stress and anxiety that many are feeling following these crimes.

The P.A.C.E. Center is offering the workshop on Thursday starting at 2:00pm in the conference room of the Cherokee County campus of Spartanburg Community College.

Teenager boy suspected to be a cat killer in Miami, Florida

Tyler Weinman - Cat Killer

18 year-old Tyler Weinman is a suspect, charged with killing19 pet cats in Miami, FL. He has been released on a bond and is under house arrest. He is also accused of improper disposal of dead animals and burglary in the cat killing spree.

A psychologist interrogated and talked to Tyle but didn’t find any traces of mental disorder. According to his psychological judgment, Tyle is not a threat to himself or others.

Tyle’s defense attorney Michael Walsh said “He’s an innocent man. There is no evidence.” His father said “We certainly understand the grief that other cat owners are going through, and we sympathize with them, but it is not our son. We’ve seen him play with our pets for years and he’s a great kid and he plays with pets and he’s fine with them.”

There is be a possibility that police has caught the wrong man for this crime. Police is still investigating to find if there is someone else committing this horrific crime. NYC criminal lawyer said “A psychological analysis is important to evaluate the criminal behavior of the suspect. Tyle Weinman came out clean in that investigation.” Illinois tractor trailer wreck lawyer said “If the suspect is proved guilty, he will be charged with 19 counts of animal cruelty with intent to harm and kill.” Atlantic City DUI lawyers said “It’s important to stop pet homicides..This disorder can advance to killing people later.”

But until now except for the phone call traces, there is no evidence that proves him guilty. Weinman was ordered to undergo psychiatric counseling twice a week.

Missing 3 year-old child seen with her mother and her mother’s sex offender boyfriend in bed

Robbi Potter - Sex Offender

What is happening, friends? This is my second article on a mother exposing her child to a convicted sex offender. In my previous article on “Nevaeh Buchanan missing case” the carelessness of a mother resulted into little Nevaeh’s death. This is a slightly different case. 24 year-old Candace Watson helped her tier III sex offender boyfriend to escape from a house in Mansfiled, Ohio. The sex offender’s name is Robbi Potter. 27 year-old Robbi is convicted of sex offenses in 2002 and 2005. Ms. Watson disappeared with Robbi Potter and her three year old daughter Haylee Donathan in a black and green-teal two-tone Chevrolet Truck with Ohio plate ENS9729. Haylee’s grandmother is looking for her daughter and granddaughter.

Recently police found out the roommate with whom Watson was sheltering in Arizona. In an interview with CNN, Watson’s school friend and roommate Samantha Covert told that they were sharing the apartment for 4 months and she had seen Robbi just once. She saw Watson, Robbi and Haylee sleeping in the same bed when she entered her room.  Samantha was not aware that Candace was having a relationship with a sex offender. Their conversations revolved around plans of going to school together and other friendly chit-chat. For about a month, Candance was trying to avoid her after she met Robbi.

Candance WatsonMary Watson, Haylee’s grandmother tried to cover up her daughter by saying that there is a possibility that Candace is not aware of Robbi being a sex offender. She cannot comment on it unless she meets her daughter to gather the facts.

DWI lawyers in Atlantic City said “No Amber Alert has been issued for Haylee’s missing case as Haylee Donathan’s mother is accompanying her. The mother is a legal custodian of her daughter.” Defective products lawsuit lawyers said “Even though an Amber alert is not issued, the child is in danger as Robbi has served time in both federal and local prisons and jail on sexual charges.” Atlantic City wage claim attorney said “Police is looking for both Candace Watson and her boyfriend Robbi. If anyone has any clue, please report to the police.”

A sex offender sentenced with just one year of imprisonment in Oklahoma

sex offender david earls The Oklahoma judge’s decision for just a year’s imprisonment to a sex offender has created a big  commotion in the criminal justice system. People are unhappy to hear that a rapist has been penalized only  with one year in jail.

David Earls, a 64 year-old man from Oklahoma is charged with raping a 4 year-old girl. The lawmakers are  so displeased with this penalty that they are protesting for the judge’s removal from the bench. The  legislators argue that a sex offender should not have been given a reduced sentence and set free in  September.

But there are other facts about this case that should be considered before blaming the judge. Two attorneys, who were interviewed by CNN said that the rape case was very weak and this sentence was appealed by the prosecutors. If the prosecutors wouldn’t have agreed on appealing a reduced sentence they would have anyway lost the case and an opportunity to brand David Earls a recorded sex offender. The case was very weak due to lack of evidence .

West Palm Beach personal injury lawyer said “It’s being said that the judge and the prosecutors carefully examined the case but couldn’t find evidences that would prove David Earls guilty. To serve the best interest of the state they found the reduced sentence a better outcome.”  Dangerous product lawyers said “David Earls is now a registered sex offender. Sometimes such decisions are essential to protect the best interest of people from a long term perspective. Moreover, it’s not clear if David Earls accepted the rape accusation or only to having illegitimate contact with the girl.”
